Be Patient
How Aim was able to help a Fortune 500 company with a pressing issue.
The start of a great partnership…
“It was easy. It’s not me, it is Aim.”
A supply chain manager had a major problem. He had 300 outbound containers that were logjammed and he needed them to be moved “like Now”
He followed an AIM truck that was hauling a 40’ container to a yard in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He went inside the office and asked to speak to the owner. Chris Winkler was out on a sales call. Chris is an early riser and had to get to his son’s family day at college the next morning. Our Lead dispatcher contacted Chris and set-up a meeting for 5 AM the next day. The Supply Chain Manager met with Chris and they discussed the problem. The bottom line is, Aim was able to get the 300 containers all moved in less than 30 days. The supply chain manager was very appreciative and told Chris “Be patient and we will grow with you”.
The Fortune 500 company kept coming to Aim for help with various transportation needs. The current vendor was missing delivery dates and times. Aim was able to help resolve these issues and our business increased again with the customer. The Fortune 500 customer needed another warehouse partner to help them manage raw materials. Aim once again was able to step in and fill that need. Currently, Aim handles a majority of the inbound and outbound logistics for the customer. The Supply Chain Manager when questioned by his superiors about the new success. He simply stated “it was easy. It’s not me it is Aim”
Currently, we continue a strong partnership with this customer. The Aim “Can Do” attitude has served us well for the past 20 years.
