Aim Participating in Oak Creek Relay for Life

Aim has a team again for this year's Oak Creek High School Relay for Life event.

This is the fourth consecutive year we have participated because we know how important it is to try to end this disease.

Relay for Life is a fundraising effort put on by the American Cancer Society in different communities across the nation to help bring awareness to the fight to beat cancer. Aim has had a team for the past several years and wishes to continue to do so this year as we feel this is so important. We have had several Aim team members who have been diagnosed with cancer and while we are overjoyed to say that we have many survivors here at Aim, we have seen the devastation cancer can cause.

The funds raise for Relay for Life go to many different areas in the fight against cancer, here are just a few:
- providiing information and support for those affected
- rides for cancer patients to and from treatment
- funding cancer research grants (currently funding $420 million)
- keeping the public informed about cancer

Cancer affects us all as it is just rampant in our society, but by participating in Relay for Life and helping to raise funds, we can help. Please consider joining our team this year and help raise funds to try to put an end to cancer!

This year's Relay for Life will be on a Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10:00am - 10:00pm. The Oak Creek High School is making this more of a carnival themed day in an effort to get the community involved more - so bring your kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids and show them that they too can be part of something so important and have fun with us on June 3rd!!!
